What a whirlwind of a term that was!

We had an out-of-this-world transition event with our future Year 7 students, who took one giant leap into space and their bright EKCSS future. They made some fantastic resources for their new classrooms based on Carl Sagan’s Golden Record. In what was an amazing week, students met their Headteacher, Ms Lorman, and Mrs Williams, who led the sessions and made new friends ready to enjoy their classes together and support each other through the year ahead. Aptly, the feedback has equally been out-of-this-world – wonderfully positive feedback from students excited to get started and confident they will love their new school.

Last week saw Ms Lorman, Trust staff, and our EKCSS team come together. We took part in a range of training sessions and created a curriculum of awe and wonder, which celebrates Sheppey and gives all our students the opportunity to find where their individual strengths and talents lie. We are delighted to have such a strong team of subject specialists supported by a team of dedicated support staff.

We have sent letters to all new families regarding the arrangements for the start of term and cannot wait to meet you all in September for an exciting week of team-building activities where we can really get to know our students individually.

We would like to wish all our families, students, and staff a restful and safe summer, and we look forward to seeing you in the new year.
