Independent Study

At EKC Sheppey Secondary, we highly value the importance of developing our students' independence. Therefore, we set termly independent study tasks for students to complete at home, to recap their learning and develop their understanding. 

Students who complete independent study are rewarded for demonstrating our school values of aspiration and resilience. The optional tasks vary from practical experiments which can be completed safely at home, reading, extended writing, research and revision. 

We expect all students to invest in themselves by taking part in order to ensure they can meet their full potential both whilst they are in our care and beyond.
