See our FacebookWhat a whirlwind of culture, character, and Catalan sun! We are currently heading back to base after a day that saw our students and staff truly conquer Barcelona.
We kicked things off at the breathtaking La Sagrada Familia, staring up at spires that seem to touch the clouds, before wandering through the kaleidoscopic, mosaic-filled dreamscape of Park Güell. But the adventure didn't stop there! We hit Las Ramblas with energy to spare, eventually losing ourselves in the winding, atmospheric alleyways of the Gothic Quarter.
Our students have been exemplifying our ARK values throughout. Confidently conversing with shop owners in their native tongue, showing great resilience and unreserved levels of patience and kindness towards each other, their staff and locals and tourists alike, throughout the day.

We saw snow in the Pyranees and stopped at the iconic Aire du Viaduc Millau for our first official group photo. We're making excellent time and expect to arrive in Barcelona within the next two hours!
We are incredibly proud of our students. They have shown such kindness and maturity, from sharing treats to checking in on one another throughout the journey. It's a joy to see them bonding so well. A big shout out to our staff who are still going strong!

We've officially crossed the border and just swept through the lights of Paris!
The journey is a long one, but our students are truly living out our ARK values. We are seeing incredible resilience in the face of a tiring travel schedule and, more importantly, genuine kindness toward those around them.
We received wonderful feedback from fellow passengers on the Eurotunnel who were struck by our children’s politeness, letting others use the limited facilities before them and holding doors open for others.
Our coach has now officially transitioned into bedtime. It’s quiet (for now!), and everyone is settling in for the next leg of the adventure.
Wish us luck for a restful night and a smooth journey ahead! 46 Likes
Students from Year 9 attended the day which was made up of motivational speeches from women in a variety of roles, information about progress that remains to be made, workshops and our very own debate panel.
We look forward to attending again next year for what is sure to be a special day celebrating 20 years of the work of Diversity House in our local community! 14 Likes
Beyond the excitement and activities captured in the video below, our students explored the life-long benefits of reading. From supporting mental health and boosting emotional intelligence to providing a sense of escape and sharpening communication skills, the day was a powerful reminder of how books help us understand ourselves and the world around us.
A very big thank you to all our staff and Amanda Jeffrey for making the day extra special for our students. 49 Likes
